These terms govern the SplayZoneAx mobile application and the website at splayzoneax.com (together, the “service”). They form a contract between you and the operator of SplayZoneAx (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account, tapping accept, buying a plan, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer, and the Intellectual Property Notice. Paid plans also follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the rules of the store you buy from.

SplayZoneAx is an independent planning tool. It is a calculator and visualiser for venues and for technical numbers you enter. It is not a loudspeaker manufacturer, dealer, catalogue, or official configurator. Coverage, SPL, STI, and similar figures are estimates. They are not a measurement, a certification, or a substitute for a qualified professional or for the law that applies to your show or installation.

1. The service

SplayZoneAx lets you model venues, place speakers, and review coverage-style results in 2D and 3D. Depending on your plan and the current build, the app may include:

The Subscription screen in the app is the live list of what each plan includes. We may add, change, or remove features. We may ship demo projects so you can see how the tools work. Demo content is ours to demonstrate the app. It is not a commercial product listing.

2. Who may use it

3. Plans and store subscriptions

Prices below are in euros (€) before any tax the store adds. Yearly billing is about 2 months free compared to paying monthly. The full comparison, including the loudness meter and SPL calibration, is on the Plans page.

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under product ids in the form splayzoneax_basic_monthly, splayzoneax_basic_yearly, and the matching Pro and Pro+ ids. The store is the seller of that purchase. The store’s terms, taxes, billing, and renewal rules apply to the payment.

Refunds and cancellation are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Your content

You are solely responsible for every name, number, note, image, PDF, chat message, and project you enter or upload. The app stores those inputs and runs its models on them. It does not author, certify, or adopt them as SplayZoneAx product data or as a manufacturer’s official data.

You keep ownership of projects, drawings, messages, and speaker data you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, back up, display to people you invite, and process that content solely to operate the features you use. That licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must keep for a legal obligation, a billing dispute, or a rights notice, and except for a short technical cache described in the Privacy Policy.

Each time you save or upload content you confirm that:

We do not pre-screen Custom Speaker fields, chat, or uploads. Saving an entry in your account is not our endorsement of those numbers or of any company named in a label.

5. No affiliation and no endorsement

SplayZoneAx is a neutral calculation and visualisation tool. The full statement for companies and rights holders is the Intellectual Property Notice. In short:

6. Estimates, safety, and the loudness meter

Read the Disclaimer. Coverage, SPL, STI, throw, and similar outputs are planning estimates. They can differ from a real room because of the data you entered, the model, reflections, weather, rigging, and equipment that the app does not measure.

The app does not design or certify rigging, flying hardware, electrical power, structural load, emergency sound, or occupational noise exposure. You remain responsible for a safe installation and for complying with local noise, building, and event rules.

The loudness meter is a device-level indication. It is not a calibrated class 1 or class 2 sound level meter. Do not use it as the legal record of noise exposure, and do not use tones or high levels in a way that harms hearing.

7. AI spec assistant

On plans that include it, you may paste text or upload a PDF so the assistant can suggest specification fields. You must have the right to send that material. Suggestions can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. You review and accept every field before it is yours to use. We do not warrant that a suggestion matches a datasheet. The assistant does not create an official listing and does not mean a manufacturer has approved the numbers.

8. Collaboration

Pro and Pro+ may invite others, edit a shared project, and use project chat. You are responsible for who you invite and for what is shared. People you grant access can see the project content you share with them. Do not put confidential manufacturer files or personal data you have no right to share into a collaborative project. We may remove chat or project content that breaches these terms.

Chat and project sync travel over HTTPS. Messages are stored on the server so the members of that project can read them. Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. The encryption and access rules are in the Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

10. Our intellectual property

The SplayZoneAx name, logo, app, generic speaker drawings, models, and site design belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as part of normal use of the service and when you share your own project outputs. You may not copy the product, the models, or the generic drawings to build a competing service.

Nothing in the app or on this site transfers any manufacturer’s intellectual property to us or to you. Public facts you type are inputs to your design. We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks or product designs.

11. Notices from rights holders

If you believe content on this website, or content a user stored in the service, infringes your rights, follow the Intellectual Property Notice. Send the notice to Contact or to support@splayzoneax.com. We may disable or delete the reported material and may tell the user. A notice does not make us the author or publisher of a user’s library. Repeated or serious misuse may lead to suspension.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular show or installation, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that predictions will match a venue, that Custom Speaker fields or AI suggestions are correct, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any third-party loudspeaker will perform as a user typed. Some countries do not allow certain disclaimers. In those countries, the disclaimers apply only as far as the law allows, and statutory rights remain in force.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, a cancelled or poor-sounding show, hearing injury, rigging or installation loss, or a trademark, copyright, or other claim that arises from content you or an invitee entered. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Where we are liable, our total liability for claims relating to the service in a 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for SplayZoneAx in those 12 months, or €50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says cannot be limited. That includes liability for fraud, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where those limits are prohibited. Consumers keep any mandatory rights of their country of residence.

14. Your responsibility for claims about your content

If a claim, loss, or reasonable legal cost is caused by speaker data, names, files, messages, or other content you or your invitees enter, or by your breach of these terms, you will cover that claim and those costs, to the extent the law allows. This is aimed at business and professional use and at content you chose to upload. It does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by our own breach or negligence, and it does not remove rights that consumer law says cannot be waived.

We may take over the defence of a claim. You will cooperate. We are not obliged to sue a manufacturer, or to defend a lawsuit, over numbers you typed.

15. Suspension and ending access

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, creates a security risk, or is the subject of a credible rights complaint we cannot resolve with the account holder. You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion through Contact. Cancellation of a store subscription is done in the store, as described in the refund policy. Ending an account does not cancel a store renewal by itself.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The date and version at the top will change. If a change is material, we will take a reasonable step to bring it to your attention, such as a notice in the app or on this page. If you continue to use the service after the update applies, you accept the new version, except where the law requires a different process. The version recorded at sign-up is the version in the app at that time.

17. Law and disputes

Contact support@splayzoneax.com first and give us a reasonable chance to resolve a dispute. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of SplayZoneAx is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules that would point somewhere else. The courts of that country may hear a dispute, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence requires a different court or gives you rights these terms cannot take away.

If a section of these terms is held invalid, the rest stays in effect. Waiting to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. These terms, together with the policies linked above, are the whole agreement about the service.

18. Contact
